CityRyde was born from a simple, powerful idea: everyone deserves to feel safe on their commute.
In 2025, our Co-founder returned home late from work and had an unsettling experience in a traditional rideshare. She was safe — but shaken. She thought: "Why should I ever have to feel this way just getting home?"
She spent the next six months talking to hundreds of women across India's cities. The stories were familiar: anxiety, discomfort, unsolicited conversations. The solution seemed obvious — match riders with drivers of the same gender.
In the same year at the end of Q4 (in December), City-Ryde launched in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam with just 20 drivers. Today, we progressing and have verified growing pool of drivers and riders — and with us the community keeps growing every day.
